• Account data — email, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up.
• Chat content — messages, voice notes and images you exchange with AI characters. These are stored privately on your account.
• Usage data — device type, browser, pages visited, approximate location (from IP), and crash logs to help us improve the service.
• Payment data — handled by Stripe and Razorpay. We never see your full card number.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and personalise the chat experience.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
• To send service-related emails (e.g. password reset, billing).
• To analyse aggregated usage and improve features.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with trusted processors that help us run the service — hosting, email, payments, analytics and AI model providers — under strict confidentiality.

4. Cookies & advertising

We use essential cookies for login and preferences, and analytics cookies to understand usage. We may display ads served by Google AdSense and other partners. These partners may use cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your chats and personal data within 30 days.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Chats are protected by row-level security so only your account can access them.

7. Children

Hobnob AI is not intended for users under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your data by emailing us. Residents of the EEA, UK, India and California have additional rights under GDPR, DPDP Act and CCPA respectively.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you in-app or by email for material changes.
